Our Culture

We’re not a company for everyone and that’s by design. We only hire A players, the ones who thrive on challenge, demand excellence from themselves, and believe in doing the right thing even when no one’s watching.

At SWS, radical transparency isn’t a buzzword. It’s how we build trust. We speak truth directly, give feedback candidly, and own our mistakes fast. Because safety doesn’t wait for politeness, and growth doesn’t happen in comfort zones.

We believe: relentless innovation keeps people alive. Precision isn’t optional- it’s sacred. Accountability is a form of respect. Humility and family-like trust make us stronger.

Our values don’t just hang on a wall - they show up in every design review, every supplier call, every test we run.

We use standard applicant tracking systems and do not use artificial intelligence to screen applicants.
This Isn’t Just a Quality Job. It’s Ownership of the Standard.
At SWS, our products work in the harshest environments imaginable. Snowstorms, live traffic, construction zones, roadside emergencies at 3 a.m. When a warning light fails, it’s not just a defect. It’s a risk to the crews who rely on it. That’s why quality here isn’t about checking boxes. It’s about protecting the people who trust our equipment every day. We are looking for a Quality Specialist who takes personal ownership of the standard behind every product we ship. Someone who sees a defect and asks why it happened. Someone who sees a process and asks how it can be improved. Someone who believes good enough is never good enough.
What This Role Really Means
This role is not about maintaining a quality system. It’s about building a culture of quality across the company. Your work directly impacts:
  • The reliability of our products in the field
  • The efficiency of our manufacturing process The trust our customers place in SWS

  • Accountable: You take ownership of outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Collaborative: You work across teams to solve problems and elevate standards together.
  • Growth-Focused: You constantly look for ways to improve systems, processes, and yourself.
  • Technically Grounded in Quality: You have a background in quality assurance, quality control, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Detail-Driven: You notice the small things others miss, because those small things become big problems later.
  • Data-Oriented: You use numbers, trends, and analysis to guide decisions.
What We Are NOT Looking For
  • Not a Clipboard Inspector: Quality doesn’t live in a checklist. It lives in processes, systems, and accountability.
  • Not a Passive Observer: If something isn’t right, you don’t wait, you investigate, improve, and fix.
  • Not Siloed: Quality at SWS is not just a department. It’s a company-wide responsibility.
  • Not Afraid of the Production Floor: You will spend time where the work happens, understanding processes firsthand.
What You’ll Do
  • Build and Strengthen the Quality System: Design and implement quality protocols that ensure every product meets or exceeds our standards.
  • Monitor and Improve Production Quality: Use metrics, analysis, and observation to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Drive projects that reduce defects, improve efficiency, and strengthen manufacturing reliability.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with production, design, product development, and materials teams to embed quality throughout every stage of the process.
  • Strengthen Supplier Quality: Review supplier performance, audit materials and components, and work with the materials team to ensure incoming quality.
  • Investigate Customer Quality Issues: Analyze product concerns, identify root causes, and help implement solutions that protect customer trust.
  • Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Maintain quality records and ensure alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Advance Quality Technology: Research and implement new tools and systems that improve quality assurance and process control.
Ask Yourself This
Do you believe quality is something that must be built into a process, not inspected at the end? Do you enjoy digging into problems until you find the real cause? Do you want your work to directly influence product reliability and customer trust? If your gut is saying “HELL YES”, we want to talk to you.
